The Hideout at Lake Hawkins & The Hangout at Lake Hawkins are separate locations and venues, but are sister companies located next door to each other.
The Hideout offers luxury cabin homes for rent (with full amenities), as well as 8+ wooded acres and endless opportunities for outdoor events and gatherings.
The Hangout is a 2500sqft building that can be used for indoor / larger gatherings.
These venues can be used separate or together. We have created rate plans for events at The Hideout (here) and are in the process of creating rate plans for events at The Hangout.
The Hangout - Events, Parties & Weddings
Welcome to the newest Event Venue in East Texas, located at Lake Hawkins! We are almost done renovating and are accepting reservations for events occurring on or after April 1, 2023.
A little bit more about The Hangout
The Hangout is a standalone pole barn-style 2500sqft building, located outside the city limits. We are directly across the street from the Lake Hawkins RV Park and Beach. Our venue is a speakeasy-style lounge and party rental venue with seating accommodations for approximately 75 guests, which includes table seating, bar stool and sofa seating. Including standing room, we have a maximum capacity of 200 guests. If the building's garage door is open and the accompanying field is being used in conjunction with the building for an event, occupancy could be up to 2,000 guests.
Our venue can be used for all types of events and special moments, including live music events, private parties and game nights, class reunions, family reunions, proms, engagement parties, anniversary parties, rehearsal dinners, weddings, receptions, birthdays, quinceañeras, company parties, holiday parties, church or hobby retreats, social or charity events, workshops, group getaways, school or graduation parties, etc.!
